I have 2 rat traps, and both do little or nothing for the comfort of the ride, but maybe it's just the 2 I have?

I found the same thing with a rat trap that I had on a 63 womens Spaceliner. The spring on it seemed to be pretty stiff.

The opposite applies to my early model Schwinn springer on my 1941 HP Snyder built. Very comfy and cushy ride.

I had a springer on my Micargi (el cheapo brand) and it didnt do squat but it looked cool. But Ive found the springer on Dyno is awesome. But style first for sure, I'd go standard forks before modern suspension forks  Unless the build called for a more modern take on a klunker
