Here's a link to those custom made pike nuts. They are chrome steel and cost $2 apiece for the smaller ones. The guy machines them himself. They are strong enough to be used as the nut instead of just a cover.
I bought a few sets of different sizes, 5mm for the fenders and 3/8 (I think) for the seat.

Hey all. After working on numerous other projects I finally got some spike nuts made up. I started a free website (http://www.uncommonbikeparts.weebly.com) so there was a place to display them other than this forum. Please check it out and let me know what you think. I'm gonna get some pics of them mounted on my bike shortly.

The nuts look great. How much for a set of the black 3/8 x 24 tpi and a set of black 3/8 x 26 tpi shipped to 45403?(usa)

Basic shipping will be $6 or less. I'm not sure how much more it would be for a tracking number. I've got the black ones on my bike right now and they look sweet. They add more "dimension" if you know what I mean. Much nicer than seeing threaded axles.
