SPIEZ, new tires, new pics

This is my latest buildup, based on the SPIEZ frame, designed by fahrrad-pimp (username in the german "tretharley"- forum) and accomplished by Abteilung Cruiser, Swiss shop for customs and cruiser bikes (http://www.abteilung-cruiser.ch).
pretty nice to ride on plain and straight lanes.

frame an fork: Abteilung Cruiser, Spiez Snr. 02/50
wheels: DH 80 with Sturmey Archer X-FDD 3, DH 100 with SRAM S7, 18T offset- sprocket
tires: 3G Hoggy-G 24"x3,45"
crankl: KUE=Q 165mm, 3pcs, euro bb, sealed bearings
chainwheel: Profile Swirl 38T
pedals: Demolition Team pedals, sealed bearings
saddle: Brooks B17 Narrow
grips: billet Hartkore Magnum

Very nice! I like that little spring for the seatpost, cool idea! Do you plan on painting it?

i do. but only clear varnish and red/white stripes.

how does it turn? the rake on the fork look really extreme

that's why i said 'pretty nice to ride on plain and straight lanes'. :lol:
you should select your track well, spontaneous turns might end up less gracefull. it rides surprisingly smooth, like a dyno coaster. but you might find the laughings on you if you go into sharp turns.

great bike but probably one you would not want to be taking your hands off the bars while rolling. nice work and agreed the seat spring is trick

didn't try to ride hands-off 'til now. but sixpack in the right and left on the bars works. so it's safe. haha!
