Somehow had all the parts necessary to make this build possible, so i went for it!

RockShox SID fork
Bontranger stem and handlebars with Avid levers and Shimano deore 8 speed trigger shifter/derailleur
WTB Speed disc front wheel -- Weinnman Disc bull rear wheel -- both running with 160mm Rotors
Maxxis Semi slick 26x2.35 front tire and Bontrager 26x 2.5 rear tire

My way of tightening the stem on the fork 8) with a huge C-clamp!

Finished product, just gotta put some more air in the fork then time to hit the trails!

cool! i'm building up a '99 Trek right now. harvested a bunch of parts of my ChroMo Stumpjumper that I built years ago. Add in the new RS XC28 (thing's a PIG, but fit the bill!), a new front XT derailleur, and some other miscellaneous parts and I hope to do the same! :mrgreen:
