if it wasn't prepped properly you may be able to get the original paint back- use some wire wool and either t-cut or cellulouse thinners. gets it of a treat. just don't go crazy. doesn't seem to touch the factory paint.
nice bike btw, reminds me of the old butchers bikes from over here

Well I can not beleive the results after using the Xylol Xylene solvent as suggested in the posts above. I tried it on the headbadge , it had two thick coats of spray paint on it. Rubbed for 5 mins and it came out great , did not even touch the original paint. You would not beleive me if I told you how much original cycle truck head badges go for. Can`t wait to do the rest of the bike. I am now a follower of

Xylol .
