Simple Point Solution?

Has anyone figured out a way to paint those points on a frame? I thought about using contact paper. I tried masking tape and it lets the paint bleed underneath the tape. I could buy the guys stuff on ebay to put stencils on there ,but somehow I'm too cheap and I know someone has figured out something simple. HELP!!! :lol:

and just cheap green masking paper that they sell at osh(looks like this).......

just measure your center line out and then do the centerline on all the sides....just add alittle curve where the scallops begin.....then its all about playing with the tape until you get the look you want(time consuming but you can have then exactly how you want!

btw contact paper will work(thats what the ones they sell on ebay are(found it works better to just do them yourself though :roll: )

Someone told me they cut their stencils from "press and stick" kitchen wrap.

Hey thanks yall I'm going to try the shelf lining paper tomorrow . I will post how I make out. Its hard to cut a point out of masking tape. I found that out today. :wink:

Ok tried the shelf paper. Its works good . you can cut any design and then put it on the thing your painting. Its thin enough not to leave a big paint line. the only drawback is it leaves glue when you take it off , I may mess up the paint getting rid of the glue. :roll:

if you use contact paper make sure its the see through (or color film)kind. thats what the ones on ebay are made of(didnt leave a glue residue but when i did my wifes bike i found out its a huge pita to get them to line up right thats why i just lay my own out now)
