Hey there. So I just got done fixing up some old Schwinns and suddenly another bike finds its way into my life. This one is a Sears bike.
Oh yeah. This baby screams ugly. But it also screams potential. This babe is gonna get the oh so hipster fixie style redo. My girlfriend got it for free. She has no bike and isnt the best rider, so I thought might as well do it for her so she can role with me. Its got straight style handle bars on it right now. Hanging off it are some drop downs though. I am gonna remove all the crome on this thing. I will ruff it up and lay down primer, then white paint, then a clear coat. Then I am thinking I will wrap them up in white wrap. The body I am going to sand down, prime, and do in a cherry red paint, then clear. No logos on it. Maybe put her name on it in oil lettering. Purchasing a white chain for this bike as well. If I come across a white seat I will put that on there. Going to ruff up the spokes and rims, those will get the white and clear coats.
May keep the seat, but vinyl die in in cream/tan...
No brakes. So I have to get that figured out. Probably gonna have to take it the bike shop and have them deal with that. But I think this should be a killer bike when it is all said and done. Should be a quick build. I dont know about colored tires as of yet. I may keep the old leather seat on there because it has a vintage feel to it. But I am thinking I will vinyl dye it a creamy tan color.
Going for something like this:

Cant wait to begin. Would love to hear some ideas from all of you
