Any ideas what year or style Schwinn this was used on.

Along with the "schwinn" it should read Tubular S-7 or S-2. :wink: I'm tending to lean toward an early painted S-2 given the vintage of that hub! 8)

Well the S-2 began in '48 and the New Departure factory flooded or something else destructive in '53 and sold out of stock by '54 or so. So it would date somewhere in there. The paint is in impeccable condition! Great find.

the link stated the ad as a 1950. Could of been on any number of bikes as I think it was kind of a "dealer" add on item. I could be wrong but that's my opinion.

That would be awesome to add on to a 50's schwinn. Great paint too

What CCR said,that is the Triplspeed aftermarket hud convertion kit, those are cool. If you can find still in the box they can go for around $200.
