This bike came in my way. 1952.
Is 300$ a fair price?
What parts doesn't look original?

That's fair for what's there. It's an uncommon/desirable color scheme, springer, looks to be in good condition and the chrome will clean. It's later, '57-58 or so, so it will be a middleweight. A good bike. I think the original seat would have been a tan or black top Mesinger.

Frame has likely been repainted. Should have a red headtube and graphics. I think it would be a Deluxe Hornet if the springer is original. Gary
