Schwinn, Hiawatha and a .......Stelber?

Usual story, go to buy one bike, start talking bikes and wind up buying more. I went to pick up the 61 Schwinn Speedster and see some other bikes and wind up dealing on those up too. All 3 for around $100. I have never had a Stelber but its in good shape and has a cool double bar frame. Even though the badge says Stelber Brooklyn New York I guess they were made in Europe. And from what I read not made too well. Survivors are hard to find due to poor build quality. Is that a plus or minus?

My guess is the Stelber is German or Austrian based on the name. Has to be Euro based on the cottered cranks. Nice buy on all those bikes.

That Stelber looks like they copied the design from NY neighbors, CBC/Ross! Stelber didn't make any bikes on their own, though they did use CBC parts on some of them. -Adam

I just sold this Stelber on ebay. They are cool but not the greatest built bikes. Nice buys!
