Schwinn Heavy Duti frame / tire width?

Hello all! New member here. Been lurking for a week or two. Love the site!

Got a question; thinking about a Schwinn Heavy Duti frame that is available. Since I don’t have it yet, or I’d measure it myself; I was wondering what is the widest tire size the frame will accept?

Is it a late-model SHD, or a Chicago-built Canti style one, or...?

I had a late-model SHD that was 3.5" between the stays at the 26" tire zone. Might be able to squeeze even more in if you're running 24"s.... These are the frames that Ind-Chuckz sells all the time....

Canti-style SHDs were based on the middle-weight frame, at least the ones I've seen. Probably nothing bigger than 2.2"....

Between 1980 and the 90s, SHDs were 3-bars that had a 1" headtube and were built "somewhere else"; might've been eastern Europe? Anyway, those I've never seen in-person, so I'm not sure what they'll fit.
