schwinn black phantom???

Just picked this up looks like a black phantom? Anybody know how to tell the year? Do the still make fenders repop? It looks like the forks use to have a lock cylinder?

Nice bike. Look on the left rear dropout for a number, back by the rear axle. A letter and 5 or six numbers. Post it here and someone will decipher it to figure theyear. The repop parts are pricey, and the rat look on that is pretty cool by itself. I wonder why they put a rear handbrake on? It looks like a fabricated bracket. It'd be great if you found some cash tucked away in that tank.

Very nice phantom! I don't know much, but I think that phantoms with that chainrings had the hard-to-find seats. But the tank looks nice!
