rusty bike strip

ok so i have a few bikes the a 100% covered in rust,,nice bikes,,,i want to clean then to the metal and paint them,,,hand sanding takes to long and power tools leave tool marks....what about sandblasting?

A brass brush on a grinder or drill works great.

I sandblast any frame I repaint, I have a cabinet blaster but a handheld pressure one is cheap and does the job, Messy though, Rick

someone somewhere said to use a small tent to blast in....you can reuse the sand that way...

And if ya set it up on the beach, free sand!! :lol: ...Actually, I've seen a home-made plywood blast cabinet set up for frames in a cool lil shop in Portsmouth, Va. ~Adam
