Removing Schwinn kick stands

I'm sure this has been asked before, but how do I remove the kickstand from my Schwinn frame? It's one of those in the welded on barrel.

there's also a tool specifically made for that, your lbs may have it. a handlebar end plug fills the hole nicely once it's off

I have always had good luck with the channel locks and pliers method.

I bought a Park KS-1 tool from Memory Lane. But I understand that Park isn't making that tool any longer...I'm sure I saw that someone else had started making one...I'll re-post if I find it...
