I'm going to try the bike commute to work and needed a bike that was not steal-able :x , not expensive but looked cool, and not be worried about scratching or dings.
Quick build:
$10 for the bike, had all the parts but rusted and pretty old, nothing special. One pedal was completely rusted and will need to be replaced. The rear wheel had a lot of rust, I was able to get most of the rust off but the rust pitting is still there...it's not the best looking but going to keep it. Originally painted red-will keep it as-is! The brakelines are white and I was inspired to keep the colors the same.
2 day build, clean and build
$60+ for the tires, $10 tubes
I had an extra pair of handlebars laying around (neon pink) stripped.
Will replace the black seat with a cool brown color.
Will post photos when complete.
