haha I bet thats crazy to ride I did it to a car onetime for a parade not thinking that I had to drive the car 10 miles to the parade starting point wow what a long ride!

Kind of have that problem. I think we'll be cruising the pubs after the parade so I'll have to stash another bike near by to ride.

hey Randy..
If the 2 wheels are not EXACTLY plum ( level up and down )
then it will woble side to side as well.
Was it hard to get the wheels equally Plum when you built
them??

I can see that if you don't then the side to side wobble
will reak havik on the hub and bearings.

The reason I say this because I want to build a set one day..
did you set a gauge up so the wheels where plum when yo welded them?

Uhhh... if you would have told me all this before I built it I never would have :D. If I have to put much thought or planning into anything I loose interest. I'm an imperfectionist. I just slapped them together never checking for trueness. I hope that no more then it will get ridden I won't have any problems.

I wouldn't mind someday having my LBS lace me up some of these wheels so it would look a little better. Matter a fact he (LBS) did not to long ago for himself. The wheels don't have as much offset as mine and I think they were 24" rims on a 26" bike. I rode it and it was a lot smoother ride than this one.

Cool! If I'd had a little more time or planned ahead I might have went that route. I did check at my LBS for colored tires but all he had in stock were red. He offered to order yellow but I didn't think they'd get here in time for the parade this weekend.

Go to a Local Craft Store and look for "Krylon Fusion"
it is made for Rubber and Plastic.

They have a Green Color...
and If it's not the Green you want randy then buy a Blue and a Yellow
and mix them.

Spray it in the Lid..or a small container and add a bit of
Laquer Thinner.
Then Dip a Rag ( soak it good and wet ) and Rub it on the White Walls.

If you have a junk white wall try it their first.
Make sure you have LOTS on the Rag and try and Pass around the Tire
in one "Fall Swoop" so it is even.

If you thin it properly it should penetrate and the Laquer Thinner will help it "Kick" as we say.
It will penetrate and dry quick enough so as not to crack
and crumblew the Rubber..but not too quick.

Make sure you scuff the White Wall first ( Tooth and Ancor )with a bit of Sand paper.

Try it out..or maybe just the Yellow would look good,
either way the white walls look great,

just my 2 cents...

The Bike looks awesome Randy,
peace,
Kev.

this is a bmx/clown bike i bought a couple years ago at a bike swap meet in vancouver i bought it for parts and didn't even know about the clown feature till later
if you turn the big knobs(yeah i said it) the wheels move 1 7/8" its wild to ride with only that much movement and can only imagine how hard yours is to ride

the idea of these bikes isnt to pedal and bounce up and down, the idea is that if you get the wheels lined up right, you dont hafta pedal, you just bounce up and down a bit and the motion moves you, saving your pedaling legs.
