Possible 30's schwinn, need help with I.D.

i have a acquired an old schwinn. Sticker on the handle bars states 1930's Arnold Schwinn. I have no history on this bike, it hung in a friends shop for years.

Looks to me like a late 30s/early 40s Schwinn core with a mixture of user-added parts on it to make it a rider.
 
If Schwinn went in sequence, backing up from the known numbers would make it 46 or 47. I would think that by now someone would have formulated a serial number chart from the existing bikes, but I can't find anything.

No postwar Schwinn had dropouts with chain adjustors. It's a prewar bike for sure. The neck is a Wald used by Schwinn in '41. Gary

I think this photo gets it done.
Based on some other bikes with similar numbers, you're looking at 1939. It fits in between several others of which one is a documented bike.
I must have missed this on the CABE..
