"PM" means what?

Sorry to ask this super basic question but I looked through a bunch of the forums to try to reason it out and couldn't).

What is "PM"? I thought it had something to do with selling stuff.

What is the protocol and is "pm sent" a confirmation?

Thanks for the post. It made me laugh. Please don't feel offended, I'm not laughing at you, I had the same problem on all the forums I've been on and I remember saying, and I still say it sometimes,'what the heck do they mean?' when I don't understand the lingo.

I have found that googleling helps.

I'm glad that my questions have taken a funny twist.
It's good when you can laugh at yourself a bit.

I'm an engineer so my life revolves around acronyms. They get pretty crazy some times.

My first thought was Post Message and that didn't make sense, then Purchase Merchandise and that didn't work either.

Then I thought "If all else fails, ask for help (or get directions, or read the instructions)".
