This is going to be a really fun time in an awesome ride location!

Right now, the Phoenix Phreaks are gathering as many raffle prize goodies for the Dec 8th, 2007 Holiday Fun Ride as possible. Rat Rod member support is also appreciated. With just a little bit of friendly backing, we can continue to host these kind of fun rides in the future.

The bonus for participating businesses is that riders will definitely shop at, and frequent those locations that are supportive of our "silent sport and clean air" activities.

For raffle prize examples, we are seeking "generic" items such as:

- Local bike shop coupons good for $$$ at the store
- Tire Slime (we all hate flats)
- Camelbak personal hydration packs (gotta keep the fluids flowing)
- Lighting kits (headlights, taillights and assorted blinky things)
- Blockbuster video stored-value cards (who doesn't like movies?)
- Local sandwich shop or retaurant coupons and discounts (food is good)
- Tshirt and decal printing services (groovy!)

We had a great weekend of promoting the Phoenix Phreaks '07 Holiday Fun Ride and gathered lots of good stuff for our prize raffle. I won't spill exactly what we have to give away, but let's just say the lucky winners will be STOKED!

At one shop, we came across what is known as the "Monster Cruiser." This bike has 36" tall tires! Man, that thing is large and in charge. Built by the Coker Tire Company...here is a rare picture of one.

Upcoming Phreak ride weather report:
Currently, there is the possibility of some Saturday morning rain.
Knowing Arizona skies, this probably won't be a problem by our 2pm ride start time.

Also, December temps get pretty chilly after sunset (around 5:20pm).
Bring a jacket if you plan to stay and watch the Tempe Town Lake lighted boat parade (4pm-?).

The skinny on Phreak raffle drawings:
Each Phreak ride is intended to be a little different - which means we won't have raffle drawings at every event.
So, don't miss your chance at the holiday goodies we have assembled!

Be a safe Phreak...
Install a quality head light & tail light and use them in low visibility conditions!

Hey Ya'll,

Well our ride was another success! Thanks to all in attendance! We had rain all night the night before, so I think a bunch of people didn't show who might have otherwise been there.

Even with the weather we still had 15 lucky people show up. As it usually turns out in Arizona this time of year the weather was beautiful for the ride, and the Boat parade after.

Everyone who showed actually won a prize!

We gave away a $30.00 gift card for Rage Cycles on Scottsdale Rd.

Global Bikes Chandler hooked us up with a $25.00 gift certificate to give away.

Javalina Cycles in Awahtukee also gave a $25.00 gift certificate.

We gave several patch kits from Tempe Bycycle on University.

Cheba Hut University & Hardy provided a couple of sub sandwich cards.

Lheffe and I each gave away a bottle of Slime.

Santa and his quad bike "Sleigh" was there with candy canes for the kiddies young and old.

Definately a swell time was had by all
