Last week I picked up a neat bike from a family friend who's been giving me some old bikes for free every now and then. It's made by Armstrong and he said the year is 1962. The front fender needs adjusting because it gets in the way of the wheel, but other than that, it just needs a good cleaning.

I picked up the second bike today. I got it for the equivalent of $58, as I traded it for an old baseball card. The frame is beautiful, the decals look like they were put on yesterday, and the seat is shiny and in relatively good condition. However, the front V brake is missing the left brake pad and the metal piece that holds it. I know you can buy the brake pads, but can I buy a replacement for the metal mount as well? I'm hoping when I fix the brake pad that that the brake lever won't pull back so much, as it's very loose and has little tension. The front wheel also needs to be trued. Needs quite a bit of work, but $58 is a great deal relative to my area.

If anyone knows anything about either of the two bikes, I'd love to hear!
