Old Monark on Craigslist.

Here is one I just bought that I found through the San Antonio Craigslist. Drove 90 mi to Uvalde, TX to get this and a couple other bikes. The owner said he thought it was prewar Monark. He had put the green paint job on it. Probably not worth much, but it rides really smooth. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I also got an old Firestone, a Sears Ladies Flightliner, and a Schwinn Fair Lady from the same guy. The Firestone will be the subject of a different post as I have plans to have some fun with that one.

Badge says Monark Silver King, Inc. I'm not sure if the badge is original to the bike because it obviously was put on after the paint.

Hello I miss my old MONARK. To answer you question. When I sold my MONARK I loved it so much that i kept the Label. My bike was red I found it in Portland Organ . It was chained up with lawn mowers and chain saws. The price was $25.00 . The label has red back ground, and black details in the crown and black lettering with the name. MONARK.
