I really diggin the look of your ride. I’m running my rat trap in the same configuration and I also have ran my beehive the same way for years now. Can’t wait to see the finished build..

Let's see them. You can post pictures of them in this thread...
Oh and, I'm thinking of matching paint schemes on my two Higgins builds in Class 1 & 2.

Carl.

You trying to to tell me the axle two inches in front of the fork tip vs two inches behind the fork tip is enough to break the fork? No. I straightened the bent forks on one of my rat traps and it was no easy task to bend WITH A BENDER. I've got a few flipped rockers and for one, we're only cruising them (it's not a BMX fork) and two, if your friends broke theirs - there were problems already (likely didn't swap sides either and lost the wheel out the front because the rockers were positioned wrong leaving the dropouts facing forward instead of down) I know Higgins built bikes are thin and will rust thru, but I've ridden these forks on Schwinn and Columbia (Westfield) cruisers and have no issues, this frame is solid too. Warnings annoy me but thanks for the effort. I've been riding bikes for 55 years and crashed plenty, but there's more likelihood of one of my welds busting than that fork going bad.

Whoa...my bad. No worries, I'll get off your lawn.

You're reading more into it than intended bro, it's all good.
I do appreciate the need for safety. Thanks for the warning.

Noirci. First coat of blackening. Pretty simple, spray it black, wipe it off. Black sticks to the crust. I figure two or three coats. I'm out of thinner, so I can't get too crazy.

I am headed to the garage for a styling update/rebuild
and will be finishing it off. Pics as I go... Woohoo!

So the 26 x 1.75 on the two speed kickback is out and I'm stuffing the 2.2 Hank on there riding a three speed drumbrake. Middleweight fender has got to go...

Well after three different shifter setups and a couple of different seat posts I'm at a point to take a break and eat. But it's a different beast now.

I'm thinking some more details tonight and final pics tomorrow.

Love that stance Carl
Hanks in back and flipped rockers in front with the skinny are definitely doing it. Grips wrapped and a different seatpost, add some copper loops just because with another spray of black rubbed in and it's about done.

I wasn't sure the Shimano thumby would shift the SA 3 speed drumbrake hub. But it works fine and check out the dupli-color effect clear coat on the tank and spring. Twinkles in the sunshine even over patina!
