I picked up something a little different this weekend. It's a Nonpareil. Possibly 1938 or older.

I think it is a very cool bike. It has some neat features like the adjustment screws (clogged w/ John Deere Green), '7' seat post and truss rods. I really like the skip tooth chainring.

The Google tells me this may have been built by Manton and Smith of Chicago but I don't know for sure. SN under the BB is A162222.

Ive ran across a few of these in southern illinois, some even had locking forks and kelly bars on them, but one never looks like the next one it seems. Cool bike and nice find !!!
 
It has the Westfield/Columbia "coffin" chainring, and W/C serial numbers started with A in 1936. I haven't seen a Nonpareil made by them before though. Check out Mr. Columbia's site, and compare the frames. -Adam
