nexus inter-3 sg-3c40 hub

so I bought a nexus inter-3 SG-3C40 today for 10 bucks and took it apart looks like all the parts are there except one of the axle bearings is broken easy to replace. but here is the question, it doesnt have the shifter push rod, can a revo shifter be used on this model hub or do I need another style shifter? please help thanks

I've seen the "Revo" name tossed around with the "Nexus" name, quite a bit. I always figured "Revo" was an earlier version of the Nexus shifter, and always figured they worked the same. Heck, I once bought a bike with a Nexus 7 hub, and it was using an Sram shifter. It worked perfectly.

I do know for sure, though, that there's a few different length push rods available for the NX3's, and the correct one you need depends on your axle length, so make sure you research out the right size.
