This was offered to me yesterday and not sure what manufacturer this one is.
Chainring looks either a Murray or Roadmaster. CWC frame would be Roadmaster. But, as you can see the pictures are rough. And of course no serial number to help decipher the research.
Whole lot of travel miles for me and probably $100 in fuel costs. Seller wants close to $200.
But I need to know exactly what it is before I venture further.
Here is what I do know based on these pictures.
Western Flyer older badge....mid 40s I'm guessing.
Rear facing dropout with frame dropstand ears.
1/2" pitch chainring...not skiptooth from what I can tell.
Peaked fenders ....Possibly house painted? But there is pinstripping visible. Blue it appears to be. Maybe these weren't repainted.
Was told the frame two color paint looks original with pinstripping.
No signs of ever having a tank.
Not sure if it is missing a rear rack but, if it was a tank horn model I'm sure it would have had one.
Dropcenter rims....it looks like.
And of course missing the headlight.
Not sure if this front fork is bent....I hate poor pictures.

So your thoughts before I pull the trigger is greatly appreciated.

O.k. first things first. What it is is a '41 CWC . The big identity point is the fork crown. I've been told that they only used it in '41. 300 total investment wouldn't be a bad deal.
