need help with 26x3 or 24x3

Im planning on putting a pair of 26x3 simplex tires on my bike
and i need to find a good strong rim for them

i was think maybe a pair of heavy duty 26x2.125 rims from wheelmaster with 12g spokes with a c-110 hub

or is there a certain rim i need for these tires?

Im really trying to beef up my bike cause its a motorbike
and the wheels i have just arent doing it
and i was hoping someone could shed some light on the 3in wheel

i know some people use the felt 24x3 but i cant find those anywhere

and simplex are amazing and last long but with those i dont know what kind of rim to use

frame space is more of a concern.
not many frames have the space.

24x3 have about the same overall dimensions as a 26x2.125 so they will fit most any balloon tire frame. I don't think I have seen any unmodified stock frame that will fit the 26x3s.

no need for a certain rim. I've fit both 24x3 and 26x3 on traditional (1.75) rims no problem. A wider rim will give you a wider footprint once the tire is mounted. Maybe a downhill rim if you want something beefy...

ive been squeezing big tires into tight frames for awhile,and ive run across very few frames that will take a 24x3 easily. this spring i picked up this evans frame from dogdart,and hit the motherlode! :lol: here ya go cameron....one unmodified stock frame with a 26x3.45 boa-g tire,and a bobbed higgins colorflow fender slammed on top of it! :shock: the rear of the frame is huge!

One of the toughest rims is the Halo SAS. 36mm wide - just over 1 & 3/8 inch- They do it in a classy looking chrome plate finish too but not cheap

Really?!? So a 24x3 will fit a Worksman? If that's the case, I'll have a lot more options!
