Need advice on springer fork...

Need advice, I ordered a springer fork...

for my Schwinn middleweight. I was sure it would fit, now that it's already in transit here, I'm starting to think it won't fit.

Will this thing fit?

If not, is there an adapter, or something I can do to make it fit?

Edit to add, it's a '53 Schwinn American if that helps.

Nice looking fork! It should fit as long as the steer tube is long enough and it should be. Both are 1" steer tube diameters so you wont need any adapters.
