My new project: Superleggera Done! w/link

A friend of mine came to see me the other day, dropped this and ran. It's going to be another mild custom (no welding).

It's a Flightliner; I though that the chrome bikes were all Spaceliners, but this one clearly (if a bit fadedly) says "Flightliner" on the chainguard.

The Superleggera moniker comes from the Italian method of building cars from many small diameter tubes (kinda like Huffy in the late fifties).

I think the ladies flightliner and spaceliner were the same frame... :roll:

I believe they were, the Flightliner was badged as a Higgins though

Did some work on it yesterday. It's subtle, but you can get an idea where it's heading. Yes, that is a different fender.

My young assistant, Sunbeam Tiger. Like the car she's named after, she's somewhat overpowered and has control problems.

Next update later this week, after the wheels show up (and some heavy duty polishing).
