Here's probably my best riding, most modern bike.
It was being closed out at a local sporting goods store about six years ago.
Not enough speeds for mainstream America I guess.
I paid $80 brand new!
I remember seeing it there months earlier for several hundred bucks and I thought it looked pretty tough.
The next day at work (I work at the daily paper) we ran an ad for that store with a one day only, 25% off coupon.
Could have had it for $60!!! :x
Oh well....that's ok.
It's a great bike!
I added the Madwagon light and the toe clips....I love toe clips now.
V-brakes, fatty Kendas and genny Madwagon flasher.
I rode it regularly to work (14 miles round trip), but I got ambushed by four vato-locos claiming to have a gun on the way home once, so that's off now.
My fault for riding around at 1:00 am, I guess.
They got nothing and I kept the bike.
Scumbags.
The 3-spd Nexus works great!
They don't offer this model anymore.
Bummer.
I'll ride this thing anywhere....on the street...during the day...
