Finally, a guy's 26" frame! Small width tires and standard 559 rims suggest a switch to middle weights was going on. Mid '60's maybe? Bent fork, front fender braces, and crank. Typical male stuff. I may break this up, put the running gear on a chick spaceliner, and use the frame for next years build-off.

I have repacked all the bearings, cleaned the chain, and have straightened or replaced the bent stuff. And put on a more period correct seat.

The real kicker, I bought it from a bike store for twenty bucks!

Good lookin' bike. I wish my LBS would take in trades like that. He's way to picky and will only take in newer high end stuff.

Yea, they thought it had little value. But it did need a lot of work, I guess they were hoping it would go to a good home.

Even if you had bought a new fork and crank, you'd have a US made SAE cruiser for less than most cheap Chinese bikes. :wink: 8)
