first time making a trike and a motorized one at that.

I started out by making a base for the frame

then I welded the bike frame using turnbuckles to align it to the base

Out on the streets after i welded swing arms to the base and put on the tires and the shafting

Dog wanted to ride the thing, at this stage i locked up the swing arms by welding so i can estimate the height of the springs

I changed it to a double chain sytem and I added upper and lower springed chain guides. I ditched the disc brakes because i had no stopping power at all and used a rear hub brake from a 135cc scooter, i used my lathe to remove the spoke holes and now it doesn't even look like it used to be a hub.

I also put a foot brake near the pedal so you can easily transition your right foot from the pedal to the brake

Man that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive never quite seen anything like it...... sort of like a rickshaw? I love it

Have you ridden it yet? How does it ride with 2 or 3 people in it?

I was just wondering why your 2 disc brakes werent working properly and you went to a single drum brake?

That reminds me of the Tuk-Tuks in Bangkok.
Very cool!

I really don't know, I plucked those disc brakes off my MB and it worked great on my MB. I Think its because of the weight. The drum brake is very good, it brakes when I tell it to unlike the disc brakes.

This is the scooter that the hub/drum brake was for

yeah it does look like a rickshaw, I copied the design from those tricycles in thailand.
It goes 39 KPH without the exterior. But with the exterior and passengers it goes about 33KPH
IM thinking of modifying the exhaust to give it more horse power.
