It's friction drive. The little tire in middle drives the big one.

Love those...

Saw those at the motorcycle show last year...sweet. Problem was they cost (like 10K in Canada) more than a Yamaha WR450 and by our laws, you could only ride them (legally) in OHV area's where there would be big bore bikes ripping around, eating you up.

But sweet none the less...
