i just ran into a bit of a problem which is gonna set me back big time. i got a monark double springer as a gift from my brother and the head tube which is threaded and too small for my frame. the schwinn i have takes a 1/8 headset and is way too bike to screw on to the moanrk fork... and ideas as to where i could get like a spacer or will i need a whole new fork piece? anyone willing to trade for this small one i have? any help is appreciated! thanks guys!!

ChopperUS sells some reducer to use 1" in a 1.125" frame.

Here you go. http://www.choppersus.com/store/product ... 8-to-1%22/

Also if that is a newer Monark style springer, check this thread. They have some issues to watch out for.

Fitment and fork legs snapping one the early repops by Crossbow. These threads have something about them.

I wanted to order one of those a while back but Felt didnt have them in stock, I got this monark as a gift, and now after all the drama i hear.... im seriously considering it! Thanks man.

When I first started building the"Purple Nurple" I was going with a monark fork. Sic Nick (Local Cycles LBNY) Talked me out of it because of the design faults. He told me to go with the Felt springer.......which I did. I ride hard. Curb jumping, speeding, wheelie popin', I'm hard on a bike.................that fork has held up to my abuse! A year of abuse! They are sometimes hard to find. If Felt hasn't got one Sic Nick has one hanging on the wall in his shop. Give him a call: Local Cycles Long Beach NY 516-390-7085 or e-mail [email protected]
Good luck Brother!
By the way........I see you are from Ridgewood NY, is that the Ridgewood in Queens. If so you are 20 minuets from the Local Cycles Shop in Long Beach! Come & krooze the beach with us.

Yes sir Ridgewood NY Born and raised, I heard alot about LBCycles the guy has some sick bikes, and I been dying to check the place out. i would love to come out there and ride one day. And that how i ride too, Long skid stoppies scaring the people in the neighborhood, and hopping curbs. Im thinking about returning the fork and picking up that abraham linkage but lets see if i could still return it since its already been 2weeks since i got it, The company says they only have a 7 day return policy.....Which i think is BS. when the weather gets nice i'll shoot you a pm so we could meet up! Thanks Messina
