[GTCOMA]

i just got this frame from necessaryevil.

I have collected a bunch of chopper/cruiser parts that I am going to put on it. I am going to go with a flame theme. i know it's cheesy, but i don't care. i got a triple tree fork, Velo flame seat, flame sprocket, wide beach cruiser bars, kenda Flame tires (24x3 in the back and 26x2.125 in the front)

Nice work with the computer mockup...when you build it I would lower the fork to give a tougher stance.

It went together pretty quick! It's nice to have all the parts you need. It came out just about how i planned. I had to raise the seat and bars a little so I can actually ride it. It is super comfortable. The 3" tire in the rear is really tight. Here are a few pictures. I will take some more in the sun tomorrow.

Here are some new pictures in the sun. Does anybody have a clue about the year this frame was built? The serial # plate on the bottom is pretty faded and i haven't been able to read it yet.

Looking good Greg, is the rear triangle and chain clearance working out? I never bothered to trace the year of the frame, probally late 40's early 50's.

the chain clearance is fine. i just put the standard spacing on the bottom bracket and it still clears the tire by about 1/4 of an inch.

I'm not sure what the brand of the fork is. I picked it up along with the headset, seat and bars at a bike swap meet.
it did go pretty quick. i was collecting the parts for a different frame, but this one is much cooler, so i changed course.

now the temps just need to get over 15, so i can ride it for more than 3 seconds.

Markm - Nice, Is that yours? Do you have any clue what year it is? there is a tank on ebay right now, but I don't know if I should get it. there is only about 50 minutes left. i kinda like the open look of the bars in black.

Ive been looking for a frame like this, i want to build something similar with the chopper style fork in 26" i only have a 24" and its not agreeing with me right now

made some big changes to the front end tonight - I shortened the front forks and swapped the handlebars and grips. I should have done this along time ago. It looks a lot cooler and rides much better. :lol: :shock:
