Monark "cheese grader" luggage rack

Hi, I am working on the luggage rack for my Monark Firestone. I plan on taking the "cheese grader" off to paint it. Did the factory paint them? Mine has paint on it. Have not taken it off the rest and stripped the paint off to see if it is chrome.

My question is, how would one reinstall the" cheese grader" when I get that far? I want something that does not have a screw head just something flat.

Threaded rivets. You can get them in a bag of 100 from Memory Lane. Fender braces, racks, seats...they come in real handy. You can even find stainless sometimes. Gary
