Modern frame cruiser with old skinnies

I need some inspiration, thinking of ditching the fat tires for some skinnys. I found a free spirit with 26 inch wheels and a nice little 3 speed hub that I am grooving on.

Anyone here have some pictures of a barebones on skinny tires?

You could use something like Kenda Krads 26x1.95 they roll like crazy I rode them the last 2 years om my every day commute and they have a retro looking block pattern.they are on sale too

1.95" tires fit 559 ISO rims. He's using 590 ISO, it's not a clearance issue.

pardon my lack of wheel intellect, my current tire on the rim says 26x1 3/8. i have a kenda 26x1.95. will this seats on the rim?? if it does, i'll use it, but then it prolly have a clearance issue on the fork and chain stay, which i'll also ask how you can widen it?

Same deal. Only 1 3/8" or 650-A road tires will fit that rim. All the 1.5"-2.125", 2.4" fit the mtb or old style middleweight or balloon rims, and Schwinn S-2. 1 3/4" only fit Schwinn S-7 rims. :roll: There are a couple of others as well, but you probably (hopefully) won't run into them.

Schwallbe makes an all white tire in 26 X 1 3/8. Might look good on there.

Tuned up and adjusted that SA hub ought to work for years more.

i guess i just have to leave it alone for now. tires are a little crusty but i think it will still last another year.
