@kingfish254 Tell me about boiling in linseed oil. You boil the parts? I've never heard of this. Please tell me about it, start to finish.

There are multiple threads on the forum about using Boiled Linseed Oil as a preserving sealant over patina'ed bikes. It gives you a similar look to a flat clear coat, but without the permanancy. The next owner can easily remove the BLO without damaging the original paint and patina underneath.
 
The 1939 Collegiate that I did last year is a great example
