Back in the mid-seventies, before I knew her, my wife walked in to a bike shop in Burlington, VT and told the salesperson " I live in a third floor apartment, and I need a light bicycle...Whaddya got ? " She came away with this Libertas. I don't see any model name or number. She rode it a lot, and after we were married I rode it some. It's a ten speed, pretty light, and a fun ride. Now, after many years of abuse and neglect, my son took it to a bike shop and they told him " It's not worth fixing " Chain is missing, cables are rough, but I think everything else is still here. My plan is to reassemble, clean, grease, etc. and ride it again. Does anyone here have a Libertas ? It's the only one I've ever seen. Thanks !
