Last weeks rusty gold find

While searching for a dig spot for digging up old bottles I found deep in the woods a pile of rusty gold I have been slowly picking threw the pile for salvageable parts and frames.

Take time off of work. Do whatever it takes. You have got to pull all those out, spread them out and take one big pic. That is awesome!!!!

I found two frames in the woods one time. I fixed one up and had tons of fun with it. Great find. Any bottles? Gary

Even though there is no plating or paint left I see some useful parts for rat building in there and maybe a part or two restorers might want...

So do the cranks move at all still or the headsets?

If there are any early 40's or wartime Columbias left we definitely need to talk.

I don't know if any of those bikes can be saved, but the parts alone? The mind boggles!

The jet trike with the red plastic end cap pieces in the frame is good. Those plastic caps are always missing or broken. Take them out and Ebay them for 40 dollars.

Yes there is a sweet bottle dump on the other side of the brook that dates to the mid 1800's so what I have been doing is dig bottles in the morning then in the afternoon I have been going threw the bikes untangling them.and yes a few of the cranks turn but most are frozen solid.My daughter and I have been pulling 4 bikes out at a time for the most part. I have that bike here at my house now if I can free it up I would consider letting it go for sure.
