Last Night's Cruise in Hartford, CT

Great time last night! Great food, great friends and great ridin' weather! Joe's Devil Wing is the schizzle! He has all the gadgets to go riding too! Ian's Tail Dragger did it's thing rubbing pavement where they were repaving and Bob's Speedster was well uhhh FAST!

Big Pants said something to me yesterday - he said - "it's neat how our old bikes put smiles on people's faces". I hadn't really thought about it, probably because I'm just caught up in the fun myself, but he's right. Lots of people from all walks of life come up to us and start conversation, and walk away smiling. That's a good thing. We're not hooligans, we're doing a public service lol

Great ride guys,
It was nice to see all of you again. It was so much fun. It was even more fun now that I have my own bike to ride. Having the BMX was fun last time, but having the vintage bike was even better. Everyone's bikes where so awesome.
I did mention that to Ian about people smiling. I noticed it. Whether it's a goofy laugh at us, a smile or whatever, they seemed to enjoy seeing them. It's nice to see that we enjoy it, but also other people that are indirectly involved and enjoy it too. Joey, thanks for the music and the light show. Awesome pictures too. You got a great eye.

Next time we will. THis was a spur of the moment thing that just came together and everyone was on board. No hard feelings, we didn't leave you out on purpose THe weather was great, i was free from family obligations (which almost never happens during fall and spring because of sports and coaching). Also, I wanted to go for a ride as I found out I can't be there for the 18th or the 25th rides and I was in desparate need of a ride!

you should see Middletown now. Main St is really nice and has like 21 restaurants last count. We should do a cruise there.

Be back in the Cromwell and Portland area visiting the fam for Christmas, I'll have to swing thru town other than going across the bridge haven't been back for awhile. Seems I remember a good beer place at the North end of town last time I was thru some years back.
