I was checking out the swap meets for fabric to cover the seat
Some have used old blankets (Mexican), jackets, or purses for their material

As I walked the isles for something vibrant and very custom car looking
when I spotted these (for a buck each)

And I thought to my self

Those are however the perfect things to use as my seat cover material

Now the ? is should I use the bright green, the multi colored
Or should I go hunt for some more pillows at my local thrift and goodwill stores for another design

So after finding the seat cover material I also found what I could use as my seat post

I believe this is off an old Schwinn exercycle but not too sure

the quill is narrow enough to fit in the seat post tube

You can see how I added the clamp to the drop down section

And here it is with the seat attached
I may or may not remove the hbar clamp area (it makes a good area to attach more stuff to)

I think I finally decided on the tire wheel combo

After finding a cheap set of white wall 24" at the swapmeet (no blackwall 24" where for sale)
and checking different hubcap pictures online
I am going with A whitwall tire and black rims

So here is how it will look

I like the stripy pillow, not sure if the stripes are close enough together for a seat though?

Luke
it is actually a small throw pillow so the stripes are a lot closer than they look

and yes i like that one more as well right now
but we will see how it looks once the frame gets a black primer

That stance has such a sick layback attitude.
And you're right, the disc/rim/tire combo works great together.

Black walls with RED painted rims...not much more "hot rod" than that!!!

WOW!!! You win!!! How can the rest of us compete with 20 fountains in one pic!!???? :rockout:

Hit a snag when putting the "hub caps" on the front wheel
So looks like I will not be done today as expected
So I will have the finished pics up tomorrow
But here is how I ended up mounting the caps

I bolted some auto clip nuts to the the rim after I sliding it past the spoke

As for the snag mounting the front hub caps
It turned out the center hole needed to be the same width as the center hole in the rear caps

But since there is no "recipe" (yes pun intended) for mounting paella pan lids to bicycle wheels
So It has set me back a little

*If you notice the antenna on the top of the truck you will see it is the same type of spring I used*
