Planning on doing a Ride to the local Drive-In theater this month!

This is something I'm organizing through Tempe Bicycle Action Group, so check out http://www.biketempe.org for updates and details.

Rough sketch is:

What: Group Ride to the movies
When: Friday April 25th
Where: Scottsdale 6, Hayden & McKellips
Who: Anybody with a bike, a camp chair, and a boombox
Why: Enjoy one of the last cool evenings of the year!

Bike Night at the Drive-In!!!

Join TBAG and riders of all types this Friday, April 25th on a Ride to the Scottsdale 6 Drive-In.

Just grab a boombox, stuff a blanket and a flashlight into your backpack, and cruise on down to the Scottsdale 6!!!

We’ll meet at the entrance to Tempe Beach Park at the northeast corner of Mill Avenue & Rio Salado at 6:30 p.m. The ride will depart promptly at 7:00 p.m. for an easy 3 mile ride along Tempe Town Lake & Indian Bend Wash to the theater at McKellips & Hayden in south Scottsdale.

What you’ll need:

CASH. There’s no ATM on site, so grab some money before leaving. There is a convenience store close by at McKellips & Hayden.
Blanket, Camp chair (with a strap to carry it), pillows, or sleeping bags.
Radio with plenty of batteries.
Tire repair/ pump – it’s a dirt lot, so take care.
Sandals? At your own risk!
Insect repellent.
Battery powered lanterns... we can use them to mark out our territory and make our group more visible to vehicular traffic.
Flashlights
