I got a call from my buddy... he was dropping off some random stuff at the Purple Heart when he saw this bike in a pile of junk they wouldn't take because it wasn't good enough...

He figured I'd want it... threw it in the back of his truck and dropped it off at my house. I put air in the tires...it rides just fine!

One man's trash is another man's treasure...

It's a sad day when I hear someone say that a Schwinn that looks like that "is not good enough". Gary

Wait wait wait....

Purple Heart doesnt accept things that arent good enough?!
Thats rediculous...Im sure it rode, it doesnt have to be shiny

I remember my dad used to have a rusted out old Cutlass (Ever see uncle buck?? Ran Like that)

That was apparently good enough to donate to purple heart

I am thinking the old addage " One mans junk is another mans treasure" is applicable
Just substitiute "purple heart".
Makes you wonder what other goodies they have tossed 8)
