I was making $2.50/hour as a meat cutter when I was in High School, so Tapes were more than a hours wage back in 1977

I love the old merch and references to our lifestyle back then, KF. I was in my junior year of college in '77, and worked in an apple orchard in the Fall and farmhand / logger in the Winter and Spring. I earned about $1.35 at both jobs. And worked as hard as I ever have.

Never had an 8 track player, but the vinyl I was buying back then was running about $2.99 per 33 1/3 album.

This is one that I bought during that year. Still have it.

Ahhh, the 70's.
Disco, eight tracks, bell bottoms, and John & Ponch riding motorcycles on California highways.... Shoot even Travolta was relevant.

Sometimes I feel old, half a dozen grandkids and all.
Then you guys get reminiscing about 1977.

On this day, June 21 1977... I hadn't been born yet. Still a couple months to my birthday.

Thanks for making me feel young again guys.:thumbsup:

#it's all love

Haha! OJ got me by about 4 yrs, in 77' I was a H.S. junior looking a lot like Jake. Only I was picking on a Mustang bass and listening to Alice Cooper... Hadn't started playing guitar yet.

Carl.

On my knickknack shelf I have a blank Memorex 8 track still in the cellophane...

Jumping jack flash ! An 8-track . You are digging deep in the the old school trunk now . Your going to be one of the coolest cats on the block .Just make sure you don't get your bell bottoms caught in the chain man ..[emoji1365]
