I went to get tires yesterday on my wifes wagon and the shop is owned by a friend of mine who wheels and deals old cars, mainly station wagons from the fifties thru the seventies. And he showed me his latest aquisition a 67 Chevy Short fleet that was done, lowered, light blue hard tonnue cover,400 turbo 400, very nice, and next to it sits this old van, it has the old slotmags, painted black with a now defunkt machine shop lettering on the sides,it had the old diamond tuck interior, My buddy says its a runner with a 340 with 500 miles on it. the owner passed away a couple a years ago it is the panel with no doors on either side. 64 Dodge A 100, do I need it ,NOPE ! ,would the wife approve, NOPE, is it cool, YUP,do I have any money for such a thing, not a dime.....but it has room to haul bikes and throw a set of vintage big&little americans......he wants $2.000 so sell afew bikes, hot wheels, ect. here's what it coul'd be

Re: I Want It !!!!!

That van brings back a lot of memories! I had a 1964 that I dated my wife-to-be in. It was red and had an American fllag on the roof inside. After we got married I got a hold of a 1965 van that was finished off inside with stained plywood on roof and sides with shag carpet on the floor. Those were great trucks to drive, mine had the slant 6 with 3 on the tree! I've looked for another avan, but they rusted out fast here in Michigan. The only others I've seen are like this one a full custom. Oh Well!

Re: I Want It !!!!!

alright so whats wrong with it?
$2000 seems almost to good to be true.
just keep telling yourself.

"it will me mine" "it will me mine"
then let me know when i can pick it up.

Re: I Want It !!!!!

Yeah, 2 Gs seems like a steal to me. it just evokes so much fun and good times to me. I was in the middle of the Van craze in the mid '70s with all the shag carpets and Frazetta/Molly Hatchett murels on the sides. I guees if you were lucky enough to have a GF back then, a nice Van was more than just getting from point A to B.

If i could still drive and that van was near me, I'd throw it on the credit card.

Re: I Want It !!!!!

I am still trying to work out a deal on this,as I need to sell my truck that I was going to give to my son,I think this would be cooler.....I think he likes it too, I showed him this saturday as the owner was polishing up the front slot mags, the interior needs alot of work but it runs real well

That thing is so cool!!! I want an old van so bad. Either a Dodge or a Corvair van. You can't kill those old Mopar engines either, that thing will run forever.

That thing is in beautiful shape !! Too funny, as today on my way home I saw a early sixties Ford Van..Econoline maybe ?? Was all done up in fresh purple, looked really sharp, was thinking how many bikes I could haul down to Santa Cruz in that !!
