ok so I went down to the scrap yard the other day and found this sitting on a mound of scrap metal.
columbia play bike 1988,I think it even has the tires from 1988
so what do you think,,,I think its a keeper as it is-DONE

cool bike! i was watching one of those on eBay a while back thinking it wouldn't go very high... i think it made $150 or so! Great deal for $7! the praying mantis is pretty sweet as well. I only saw one of those this summer and it was much smaller than the one in your photos.
 
SWEET score... I never find stuff like that. by the way, did you mean 1968? that looks a lot older than 1988...

i like that bike, im not normally in to the muscle bikes, but i just like that one. the fork is awesome

send that alien bug back to heck... let me guess you are in fla? or some other southern state with huge nasty bugs?
 
we get mantis all the way up here in canada. personally i dont trust anything that bites the head off its male mate and feeds from its rotting corpse. :)

btw very cool bike, up here the ccm and raleigh's of the same era sport a similar fork.
the vintage bmx guys pay a small fortune for them.
