I'm trying to find some old posts but I guess they're gone now. I followed the build of the 1963 Huffy Penguin replica a few years ago on the old muscle bike forums, and I thought I read that the California-built Huffy's were the first to get the full size decal head badges. Meanwhile, the Dayton built bikes kept using the metal ones on non-tank equipped models. Can anyone confirm this?
