Looks real nice :D Great painting skills :wink:

Thank you kindly! First time I have done this so that means a lot. I plan on doing a lot more of it. Lots and lots of fun...

BTW If anyone has any doubts about being able to shoot auto paint; you can do it. For around a $100 you can get a compressor and a paint gun. It is way easier to me than using a rattle can. The clear coat was pricey at $20 a can (for rattle spray) but it has an activator and should be hard as nails.

i have been thinking about giving that a shot.
did you "color sand"?try some mequirs #7 hand glaze.
lokking good,man. 8) :mrgreen:
Thank ya! Color sand? Enlighten me please...

I will try the Mequirs once it cures out real well. I need to hit it another coat of clear though. I used the ladder hanging method of spraying and I was all kinds of anxious to get it put back together.

color sand is done after color is sprayed & dry.
this helps get rid of the orange peel.even more
so:it gives your color more depth in shine.
this is done by staring with , 600, & working
to the higher grit:800- 1000. even as far to
2000. try the mequirs ,like you say;after cure time.
i am looking forward to seeing the end result. :mrgreen: :)

i had to spend my evenings as a kid...
sanding on automobiles in the family shop.
the soap also helps keep the paper clean ;
clean paper lasts longer.i just use a touch
of dish soap in the water bucket. :idea: :mrgreen:
