Yo RRB.

I recently overhauled a Morrow rear hub - and had to tear apart the non-drive side of the coaster brake - as the drive side cones wouldnt come apart.

Well, I got everthing back in the right order. I think. but there's a few parts in there that need to be put back just right.

Initially everthing worked ok.

But now the coaster brake will freewheel for anywhere from 1/2 turn to 3 whole turns before the brake engages.

What did I do wrong?

This is a Morrow from the late 1930's, I think.

Thanks!

Make sure the drive screw is turned in as far as it goes before you tighten the cone nut on that side. And make sure the cone nut is tightened enough to allow the wheel to turn freely, but not too loose
