How can someone do this

This guy is running 5 bikes on ebay without a reserve. He says one of them is worth $3500 or something silly. The bid is like $300 something. This is insane.

He has at least two options to protect himself. One, he can end the auction at any time if he feels he isn't going to get what he wants for the bikes, and second (and more likely) he has someone lined up to bid the bikes up to the point he wants.

He is awful brave. if it gets really high because he has someone bidding it up then he still has to pay ebay if the fantom bidder wins the bid and he is stuck with his own bikes. Sounds dangerous to me.

Just a tip...he's stuck if he doesn't kill it at least 12 hours before the end of the auction....tried it once...system won't let you kill it. :shock:
